All events postponed due to Public Health crisis

We regret to announce that this week’s AGM on Thursday, our current programme and regular market have been cancelled until further notice.

Following the guidance outlined by Public Health England, the Prime Minister has clearly advised people not to go to theatres and other venues. In the best interest of our guests and employees, we believe as of now, theatre venues should close under government advice and this week’s AGM on Thursday and our current programme and regular market have been cancelled until further notice. We will keep you updated regularly and anticipate a much wider update tomorrow.

The safety and health of our staff and visitors is our number one priority and we will continue follow any recommendations from the relevant authorities and implement all appropriate instructions accordingly.

We will update our website with further information as becomes available.

As we don’t know what is happening from day to day, there is no point making a plan because it may not survive contact with reality. We will reconvene the AGM at an appropriate time; an EGM can be called if there is a requirement to do so.

Lords of the Wildwood Community Tea Rooms will stay open for the time being with strict hygiene protocols in place. If the situation escalates to a restricted movement protocol we will work with the Glastonbury Community volunteer network to set up a central hub for receiving and distributing essential supplies to those affected. We will strive to provide hot food and drinks throughout these times, but we can’t do that without your help.

Please even if you could spare £1, it will help the people who can’t afford to prepare for what may happen. We appeal to shareholders and friends to support the Assembly Rooms in these troubled times.
