R. J. (Bob) Stewart is a Scottish musician songwriter and author who has created music for film, television, and theatre as well as many albums and CDs and has toured in Britain, Europe, the USA and Canada.

He has recorded and toured with Irish piper Finbar Furey, worked with Robin Williamson (Celtic Bards, Celtic Druids), performed with Clannad and written and produced Van Morrison’s Cuchulainn. In Britain R.J. has recorded and given concerts with Shirley Collins and Cyril Tawney and has created a ground breaking album ‘The Unique Sound of the Psaltery’ which combines unusual acoustic instruments with synthesizers.His music is featured on Tolkein’s ‘The Hobbit’ recorded on Decca by Nichol Williamson and in films by Tony Richardson and Jim Henson and a series of BBC
documentary features including ‘Earth Magic’ (1987) the first documentary to give a serious account of revival paganism and witchcraft in Britain.

Concert of songs, ancient magical ballads from Scotland, Ireland, Appalachia and psaltery and whistle music, with RJ (Bob) Stewart, Scottish musician and author, known for his instrumental music on the 80- string psaltery, and for his recordings of original humorous and hard -hitting songs with guitar and other instruments. RJ has recorded and toured worldwide as a soloist, and with artists such as Clannad, Finbar Furey, Robin Williamson (Celtic Bards, Celtic Druids) Van Morrison, Shirley
Collins, Cyril Tawney. He also created music for the film “The Dark Crystal”.
